1966 Chevy El Camino 396 4 speed with 12 bolt posi and 3.73 gears
Here’s a great muscle truck from the 60s, a 66 Chevy El Camino 396, well, it’s sort of a truck for the country club set back before pickups became the luxury vehicles they are today, since it was really a Chevelle with a modified body. They’re popular and have a pretty big following and, when set up like this one, a fun drive back through the muscle car era.
This one is properly equipped with a 396 / 375 horsepower big block V8, a 4 speed manual transmission and a 12 bolt posi rear end with 3.73 gears.
The color is Marina blue with a black interior and only 77 thousand miles, very low for a 66, probably spent a lot of time in the garage as a “special occasion” driver.
It looks clean, it had a frame off restoration about ten years ago and if you could get a nice liner or maybe a BedRug for the pickup bed, you could use this to do some light work, though you would want to be very careful not to scratch the paint or dent the metal, maybe you would be the one to carry the small canopy tent for the car show where this would look right at home.
