Audi Plans Diesel TT

Audi TT getting diesel

Audi is going to cash in on the diesel winning race cars by adding a diesel to the TT lineup. Because the TT’s engine bay is too narrow for the V6, it looks like they’ll use a 4 cylinder diesel from VW which is currently available in 140hp and 170hp versions, expect the Audi engine to be a bit more.

With the success of the Audi diesel at both Sebring and LeMans, more performance oriented drivers will look at the diesels in a positive light and car makers will offer them in sporty and performance machines previously off limits.
