Electric cars are getting closer all the time. The Tesla roadster will be going on sale soon but there have been a number of earlier cars and trucks built to run solely on electric power. The problem has been range but as long as the charge lasts, they do the job.
As battery technology progresses we'll see many more electrics on the road but if you want to try one of the earlier cars or trucks out there, you can pick up some pretty cool vehicles and cruise right by the gas station.
