Danica Patrick may be joining the boys over in the NASCAR circuit, possibly as early as next season, if talks her father is having pan out.
The popular IRL driver is a big draw and NASCAR could get an even bigger boost in popularity if she makes the jump. Could she make the transition to the bigger and heavier cars with the somewhat more aggressive style of bumping and drafting? Should be interesting to find out.
What’s interesting is this comes on the heels of the announcement that Juan Pablo Montoya, the current Formula 1 driver, is heading for NASCAR next year to race for Chip Ganassi. That was quite the shocker, seeing the elite and rarified air of Formula 1 crossing paths with the NASCAR boys. What a hoot! NASCAR sure is a changin’.
