At first glance you might think this is a crazy idea, but with all of the near race ready cars being sold by the factories and custom builders these days, this fits right in. What we have here is a street legal sprint car for sale, it’s the completely restored 1970’s Lloyd Shores Sprint Car.
They have Mickey Thompson DOT legal tires in the appropriate large size, a Chevy 350 smallblock, a turbo 400 automatic and a Ford 9 inch rear end. It’s primarily driven in parades and other special events but there’s no reason you couldn’t drive it to your regular cruise night. It’s even still legal for vintage oval track racing, so if you ever get the urge, you can.
You won’t see another one like it on the opposite corner while you’re sitting at a traffic light, that’s for sure. I like it.

I would like some info on making my maxum sprint car chassis into a street legal sprint car. I retired this chassis and think it would be neat to drive it around town and let people see a sprint up close. any help would be appreciated. Thank you
